Heritage Walks and Talks

The centre offers walks and talks (tours) for groups of visitors by prior arrangement.  Interested and previous visiting groups include national and local historical, heritage, civic or local history societies,  community groups, University of the Third Age (U3A), preservation and archive groups, and student groups.
Sessions can take place during the centre's normal opening hours (usually starting at 10.00am or 1.30pm) but can also be arranged at weekends, dependant on the availability of centre staff.  All group visits or 'walk and talks' need to be booked with the centre at least 4-6 weeks before any preferred date.  Please call the centre on 0161 848 9173 or email heritage@stantonyscentre.org.uk

Please note that the centre often changes its main exhibition and may instead have on a display a temporary exhibition of information and artefacts related to a specific aspect of Trafford Park heritage.  Where this is the case, some or most of the permanent heritage exhibition (Trafford Park and Village) may not be on display while other exhibits take their place.  From July - October 2026, the permanent exhibition will be replaced by a special exhibition focussing on the story and history of the Kellogg's factory in Trafford Park which is closing in late 2026.
