Education and Training

St Antony's Centre has much experience in providing education and training opportunities (with or without accreditation) to a wide range of people, both employed and unemployed, including in the heart of local communities and at client business premises.

Training Calendar

We have a schedule of courses running through the Autumn, including Microsoft Office Training (WORD, EXCEL and POWERPOINT at Intermediate level), Introduction to Trainer Skills and Programming training for schools (or those with general interest in programming).  Click on the calendar icon to the left or here to see the current training calendar.

Accredited Skills Training

St Antony's Centre is an approved teaching and assessment centre for City and Guilds qualifications.  This means that we can offer nationally-recognised certification for Functional Skills in English and Mathematics (Entry Level to Level 2) and Information Technology (Level 1 and Level 2), including Digital Functional Skills (Entry Level 3 and Level 1) qualifications.

Microsoft Office Training

We offer one-day and other short courses for individuals, community groups, businesses and schools in Microsoft Office applications, including WORD, EXCEL and POWERPOINT.

Community Training

We work in partnership with other community organisations and charities by providing training to upskill the people and communities they support via programmes such as English or Mathematics functional skills or accredited IT programmes.  We can do this where an organisation does not have the capacity or staff to deliver training themselves but may have the funding to do so as part of a larger grant.  If you are a charity or other organisation and would like to explore how we can help with your community education and training programmes, please get in touch.

Computing Curriculum Training for Schools

In addition to Microsoft Office applications, we offer training for primary schools to support the teaching of National Curriculum Computing, particularly the more demanding aspects of the programmes of study, including programming (SCRATCH and PYTHON), computer systems and networks, and data handling.

Online Learning

Through a learning platform, we offer self-directed online or distance learning courses for individuals, community groups and businesses in a range of mostly work-related subjects such as management, health and safety, safeguarding,  and personal development.  These short courses (typically 4 hours) are ideal for adding skills to a CV or for continuous personal development in the workplace.

Bespoke Training

We can offer bespoke training for individuals, groups, businesses, charities and schools in Microsoft Office applications.  We can offer training to meet specific customer needs or contexts, including using WORD, EXCEL and POWERPOINT in more advanced ways.  If you are an individual or organisation wanting some tailored-made and specific training in Microsoft Office, please get in touch.
