Training for Schools

We offer training for schools in Microsoft Office applications and some areas of the National Curriculum for Computing, particularly programming.  Our courses will hopefully be of interest to school office staff, teachers and teaching assistants who wish to improve their IT skills or subject knowledge in Computing.

Schools Microsoft Office (2016) Training
We offer one-day courses in the use of Microsoft Office applications - WORD, EXCEL and POWERPOINT.  We know that MS Office training is often limited so these courses are perfect for anyone in school wishing to improve their skills in using MS Office and discovering more of its functionality.

National Curriculum Computing
We offer one-day courses to support school teaching staff in their teaching of National Curriculum Computing, particularly computer systems and programming.  From January 2025, we can also offer these courses or bespoke courses (combining several elements) at school premises for staff meetings (twilights) and INSET days.

Microsoft Word
Word Processing
We offer one-day courses in the use of Microsoft Word at various levels, but mostly at the intermediate level knowing that many school staff already have a working knowledge of MS WORD.  Click on the WORD icon to the left or here to find out more about the content of our MICROSOFT WORD one-day INTERMEDIATE course.  
SCRATCH Programming
Introduction
This course is ideal for anyone who teaches or supports the teaching of programming in the classroom using the popular SCRATCH programming environment.  Click on the SCRATCH icon to the left or here to find out more about the content of this course.
Microsoft EXCEL
Spreadsheet
We offer one-day courses in the use of Microsoft EXCEL at the intermediate level.  Click on the EXCEL icon to the left or here to find out more about the content of our MICROSOFT EXCEL one-day course.  We can also offer bespoke training to schools who may wish to use Microsoft Excel for a specific purpose (e.g. pupil or other data analysis) or with specific functionality in mind.
SCRATCH Programming
Advanced
This course is ideal for anyone who knows the basics of programming (including repetition and selection) in SCRATCH.  This course covers the vast majority of coding blocks in SCRATCH and what can be achieved using multiple sprites.  Click on the SCRATCH icon to the left or here to find out more about the content of this course.
Microsoft POWERPOINT
Presentation Software

Programming in PYTHON
Introduction
This course is ideal for anyone who wishes to learn the basics of programming in the PYTHON language.   PYTHON is a text-based programming language with a specific syntax and is widely used in secondary schools and in some primary schools as a step beyond programming in SCRATCH (perhaps introducing it to Year 6).  Click on the PYTHON icon to the left or here to find out more about the content of this course.
