Description
This qualification gives learners the opportunity to investigate the knowledge and skills needed to use counselling skills and engage in a helping interaction appropriately. It will be a useful progression route for those interested in furthering their study or widening their work role. The qualification does not qualify learners to practice as a counsellor.
The course consists of 4 separate units
Unit 1: Using counselling skills
Unit 2: Introduction to counselling skills theories
Unit 3: Diversity and ethics in the use of counselling skills
Unit 4: Counselling skills and personal development
Course Delivery
Paper-based, 16 weeks
Teaching and Assessment
Assessments are due at the end of each unit. Your tutor will assess your work and build up your portfolio of evidence of learning. A certificate will be awarded on satisfactory submission of evidence of learning for the units studied.
Entry Requirements
You will need to be over the age of 19 and been resident in the EU for at least 3 years.
