Salford Diocese

Within Salford Diocese the Centre is responsible for the development of economic and social affairs relating to the World of Work and economic community regeneration.

The Centre is part of the still emerging new structures and is located within the Department of Socisal Responsibility, working alongside the Faith & Justice Commission, Catholic Welfare Society and The Catholic Childrens Rescue Charity. The Department is overseen by the Episcopal Vicar for Social Responsibility, FR. David Glover.

The Department is looking at the merger of the Catholic Childrens Society with the Catholic Welfare Services to join the recently created Caritas - Salford Diocese Charity which will oversee the welfare service of the Diocese. the Centre for Church & Industry will assist and compliment the work of Caritas through its Training Department, Industrial Chaplaincy and Economic Community development projects.

The Centre is funded by the Diocese as part of its commitment to Social Justice issues and the Churches engagement in the Mission to people at work.
