Chaplaincy
As part of the development of the mission to world of work the Centre has been instumental in responding to Chaplaincy requests from employers and organisations.
Fr Joseph Carter was until recently Chaplain at Kellogg's major food plant at Trafford Park, Greater Manchester Police Headquarters, and has also provided chaplaincy to Bachelors Best Foods, Trafford Park. Fr Joe has just retired from ministry after 50 years of service in the priesthood. We wish him a long and fruitful retirement.
The Bishop of Salford, Rt. Rev Terence Brain has agreed to appoint Fr. Martin Saunders as the assistant Chaplain to the Centre. Fr. Martin took part in the recent European Conference of organisations involved in the mission to the World of Work which took place in Mainz, Germany at the Diocesan Conference Centre.
Fr. Martin is the chaplain to Parasol in Accrington a support network for migrant workers. He is Parish Priest at St. Joseph's, Accrington and has a long association with the Centre.
The Centre is actively seeking in partnership with GMIM a Chaplain to serve in Trafford Park working with the Centre.
If you would like to assist with the Chaplaincy services in Trafford Park or in the World of Work please contact us. Over recent years a number of volunteer lay chaplains have been developed to support chaplaincy in town centre locations such as Bolton and the Middlebrook Retail Park in Horwich .
The pictures show the recent Response to Recession roadshow held in Bolton Town Centre with the Bolton Town Centre Chapliancy Team. the second photo is the induction of Wendy White as Chaplain to the Middlebrook Retail Park in Horwich earlier this year. the ordination and induction took place at the Reebok stadium.
