Would you like to improve your Literacy skills?
Are you interested in getting a nationally recognised qualification?
The Level 1 and Level 2 Certificates in Adult Literacy can help you improve your skills in English from reading a bus timetable to writing professional letters and helping your children with their homework.
Candidates take a short diagnostic test at the start and the trainers use the results of the test to agree with you the most appropriate level of course to follow.
Level 1 is a national certificate equivalent to GCSE O Level grades D-G
Level 2 is a national certificate equivalent to GCSE O Level grades A-C
To achieve a certificate, you must pass an exam which takes one hour to complete.
If you do not pass the test first time, you can retake it no earlier than 14 days after the first test.
These courses are not for ESOL students*
How long will the course take?
The course usually takes 30 hours to complete.
