The ACT Centre
The Accrington Community & Training Centre (ACT Centre) is a partnership project between St Antony's Centre, the GMB Union Learning Project and local community groups. The Centre's qualified tutors and support workers are on hand to offer FREE information, advice and guidance to anyone in Lancashire who is facing redundancy or who has recently been made redundant/unemployed.
The Centre has been working in partnership with St. Joseph's RC Church in Accrington who have established a Voluntary Project responding to the needs of the Polish community who migrated to Lancashire for employment.
At the ACT Centre, our friendly and supposrtive staff will assess your current skills and knowledge, help choose the right options for you and provide information about courses and training providers to help you reach your goal.
GMB members will also gain access to the Union Learning Project, GMB ReachOut for additional support.
