Description

This course will help you develop your skills set in a number of different areas including self-development, social awareness and employability. This employability course will introduce you to many sought after skills in the world of employment including managing social behaviours, understanding stress and anxiety, personal identity and developing employability skills.

Unit 1: Social awareness
This unit will cover managing your social behaviour, communication techniques, understanding stress, anxiety, depression and eating disorders. You will also explore equality and diversity and will find out useful information about your rights.

Unit 2: Self development
Within this unit you will begin to understand the demands of study and how to set targets when studying. You will also look at your general overall health and well-being by learning about healthy food preparation, the principles of exercise and nutrition, alcohol and substance misuse and finish with an introduction to sexual health awareness.

Unit 3: Employability
Within this unit you will look at developing your self and your strengths. You will plan and review your self-development as well as learning to identify and deal with daily life problems. You will then look into how to present yourself on your CV and look at the key qualities required for employment. You will finish the unit by looking at how to identify achievable job goals and identify and apply for jobs.
