Remembering Those Gone

On Sunday 11 November 2018, a service was held at St Antony's Centre to remember those who had fallen in the Two World Wars.  Made more poignant as we remembered the end of World War 1, a hundred years on.

Fr Tony Clarke and Fr Martin Saunders concelebrated the Remembrance Mass which also marked the anniversary for Canon Joseph Carter, former parish priest of St Antony's, who died on 5 November 2012.

The prayers were read by former residents, staff and visitors who had relatives named on the Trafford Park Memorial.  A short remembrance service was held at the grade 2 listed War Memorial outside the main church doors.  Helen Hall played the Last Post and Richard Deloughry and Richard Connolly led the readings and remembrance poem.

Many people travelled quite a distance to be present, including some from Ireland who used to live the Park.

Paul Frost, Helen Hall and Steve Robinson led the music.
