Following the kind donation of the remaining funds from the Platernian Association, we are pleased to publish the latest edition of the Platernian Newsletter and express thanks to those who have been kind enough to send us material for this edition.
We are always looking for material relating to Catholic Social thinking, the work of the Platernians or on social justice issues so that we can put them in the next edition.
A tribute to Bishop John Jukes who chaired the World of Work Committee of the Bishops' Conference. At a time when new models of Church are being explored, it is important that the work of the Lay Apostolate and economic justice is a vibrant part of the ongoing mission within the community and a key part of the Church'scommittment to social justice.
