Park Life Project

Park Life

The Centre is delighted to announce that it has been awarded a grant by the Heritage Lottery Fund for an exciting new project to capture the stories of people who lived or worked in Trafford Park.

As part of the project we will be making digital recordings which will be used to produce a brand new exhibition and activity pack for schools. Some of the recordings will also be turned into songs which will be performed at the Centre as part of the exhibition launch in the summer.

Following the Memorial Service for Emma Holbrook we will be launching the project with the first recording session in the Centre. The theme for this session is Shops and Family Life - future sessions will focus on Industry and Faith.

All are invited to share their memories of life in the Park. If you have any photographs or artefacts on the theme of Shops and Family Life that you would like to loan or donate as part of the exhibition please bring them with you. We plan to digitise as many images as possible so that these can be displayed using the new audio-visual exhibition facilities at the Centre.

If you would like to get more involved with the project please let us know by contacting:
