St. Antony's Centre houses a Heritage Centre dedicated to the history of Trafford Park, the world's first industrial estate. The Heritage Centre includes an archive made up of images and artefacts donated by current and former workers and employers in the Park as well as residents of the former Trafford Park village.
The Archives are only accessable by appointment as the items have not been fully recorded and catalogued. One of the Centre aims is to put information on the web to enable a wider appreciation of the unique story of Trafford Park over the past 100 years.
The Centre has recently been collecting the records from St. Antony's Parish which has been placed under the Centre following its closure as a Sunday worship centre following the retirement of Fr. Joseph Carter who was the Parish priest for 34 years. If you have photos of the Parish or former St. Antony's RC School we would be pleased to hear from you.
The Centre also hold a small archive giving the history of the Manchester & Salford Young Christian Workers Movement. The photos and publications mainly relate to the 1950's onwards.Again if you can help us retain the important hsitory of the YCW in the area we would be pleased to hear from you.
